I finally gave into a gaming system and I picked up an X-Box.  I picked up some games for my kids along with Rock Star.  As a family we are having a great time playing it.  I had to get a game as well - Mass Effect - very cool.  I hope I don't get too wrapped up with this game - I have limited time; however it's very addictive.

I had a tough time deciding on a system - PS3, X-Box or WII?  I figured I'll eventually buy a WII so the decision was between the PS3 and the X-Box.  The guy at Ebgames told me that the PS3 blue ray can only deliver 720 lines of resoultion?  I can't find any info to confirm this.  I looked at number of games, family controls and user reviews.  The family controls on the X-box are easy.  I've got it locked down and I am already purchasing games and new songs at the market place.  I have it hooked up to our 50" plasma and 7.1 home theater system - Rock Band is incredible.  The kids also like Shrek and Star Wars lego.   I went with the Elite X-box with 120 gig HD and HDMI cable & it's black which matches my stereo.  So far I'm very happy with it.
