Yesterday I finished the last of 35 Joomla School Website installs -phew!

Last year Dean Shareski and I started a project with schools who wanted to redo their school websites.  Dean and I ran inservicing and workshops throught the division.  By the end of last year we had over half of the division up and running with Joomla.  Durring this pilot phase we used a Joomla plugin which allowed us to easily manage (so we thought) multiple Joomla installls.  After taking with out IT department and scruitinizing the security we decised to break up the 1 database holding all of our schools into separate chroot school accounts.  It took me about a month to rebuild the Joomla websites.  I am fortunate to have David MacLachlan - an IT person who helped me with the Joomla installs. 

 Now we will continute with training and working with schools in using Joomla - a very interesting endeavour.
